TYSON FURY is prone to playing down his fight with Oleksandr Usyk as just another night's work.

His attitude towards the undisputed showdown varies as wildly as his opinion of the man standing in front of him.

Fury will often insist he has faced far tougher challenges while also hailing the fight as the biggest bout in history sometimes in the same sentence.

But make no mistake, this fight matters.

It is a symptom of boxing's sickness that we have waited 25 years to once again discover the identity of the best heavyweight in the world. Twenty-eight men have held at least one of the four recognised belts since Lennox Lewis was crowned the division's last undisputed champion in 1999.

Since then fans have bickered over which Klitschko brother would out-jab the other during their respective robotic reigns.
