Princess' husband updates fans after horse injury

The Princess Royal, 73, got a concussion and minor head injuries after apparently being headbutted or kicked by the animal on Sunday.

Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence yesterday left the hospital where the King's sister is being treated.

Sir Tim stopped to tell reporters at Southmead Hospital, Bristol: "She's doing fine, slow but sure." After his two-hour visit, he added: "She is recovering well, thank you.

"We are both profoundly grateful to the medical team and hospital support staff for their expert care and to the emergency services who were all so wonderful at the scene.
