ASHLEY Dale's heartbroken mum says she is more sickened by her daughter's "despicable" gangster boyfriend than the callous killers yesterday convicted of her murder.
Ashley, 28, was chased down with a Skorpion submachine gun by four men who broke into her home.
James Witham, Joseph Peers, Niall Barry and Sean Zeisz had plotted to kill her boyfriend, Lee Harrison, over a drugs feud but shot her instead.
Despite this, her partner of six years failed to help the police investigation and at one stage even defended the man who pulled the trigger. Instead, it was council worker Ashley's own voicenotes which ultimately snared the men who left her dying in the back yard of her Liverpool home last August.
Speaking about Harrison, Ashley's mum Julie, 46, said: "I'm very angry towards him. Some days I feel I'm more angry towards him than to the person who's actually killed Ashley, because without Lee Harrison this wouldn't have happened." She added: "The way he's acted since has been absolutely despicable.
