SUN worshippers got a fun-day morning feeling as temperatures hit a 2024 record yesterday.
The Met Office declared it the hottest day of the year, with 34.8C recorded in Cambridge.
But the hot, humid conditions brought thunderstorms, with 15,000 lightning strikes in 24 hours.
