A BRITISH expat was last night being held by police over the murder of a gran stabbed to death at her idyllic Italian home.
The 74-year-old man was arrested in England in connection with the murder of Michele Faiers, 66.
An international manhunt was launched after she was discovered in a pool of blood in the village of Verratti, near Casoli, eastern Italy.
She was found on Wednesday morning in her underwear on the floor beside her bed.
