LANDMARK's plans to ban young people from ever being able to smoke passed a Parliamentary hurdle last night.
MPs voted in favour of the Tobacco and Vapes Bill by 415 to 47.
The legislation will prevent anyone turning 15 this year - those born on or after January 1, 2009 from ever being able to legally buy tobacco products.
It will also clamp down on youth vaping with fines of £200 to tackle under-age sales and ditching flavours and packaging which appeal to children.
