KEMI Badenoch has handed a top job to a Tory MP who once appeared to confuse Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Chris Philp, a former Policing Minister, has been named Shadow Home Secretary in Ms Badenoch's new Shadow Cabinet.
He was ridiculed in April for appearing to mix up the two African countries on BBC Question Time.
An audience member from the Democratic Republic of the Congo asked him if his family members would be deported to Rwanda if they had arrived in Britain by small boat.
