THE mum of a boy who drowned in a river while playing with friends has detailed the racial abuse her family allegedly suffered, an inquest heard.
Christopher Kapessa, 13, died after reportedly being pushed from a ledge into the water by another lad aged 14.
He got into difficulty and boys, including the one who allegedly pushed him, jumped in but the non-swimmer could not be saved on July 1, 2019.
Christopher's mother, Alina Joseph, told the hearing of the abuse her family endured from 2012 to 2018 while living in the South Wales village of Hirwaun, which they left after a house fire.
