A MAN has been jailed for three years after threatening to kill former Labour leader Ed Miliband.

Michael Donaldson, 56, accosted the MP in the street as he visited a charity in his constituency in March this year.

The politician and his two staff members were left shaken after Donaldson started shouting death threats.

They had to barricade themselves in a building after Donaldson said he would attack the MP with a knife.

Donaldson said "I'm going to do it now" before reaching into his pocket, the prosecution said. He also talked about the use of a body bag.
