ENZO MARESCA has promised to deliver success and 'make the fans proud' after finally being confirmed as Chelsea boss.
The 44-year-old has signed a five-year contract with an option of a further year which underlines just how much faith they are putting in the former Leicester manager.
The Foxes pre-empted Chelsea's announcement by putting out a club statement just before their Premier League rivals as they voiced their "disappointment".
Leicester said: "Given the promising foundations established during his single season in charge, the club is disappointed Enzo has decided at this stage that he no longer wants to be part of our vision."
The former Juventus midfielder said it was a "dream" to take over - but the reality is he will be expected to deliver quickly in terms of silverware and getting back into the Champions League.
