MANCHESTER UNITED got their teenage kicks at Wembley to win the FA Cup against all the odds.

Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho scored the goals that stunned Manchester City, to guarantee United finished a woeful campaign on a high.

And it proved that while the future might still appear bleak for Erik ten Hag, the team is in safe hands, whoever happens to be the manager.

Mainoo and Garnacho might be hogging the headlines and for obvious reasons.

But this dynamic duo are not the only homegrown talents to have contributed to the United cause this season.

To such an extent that there has now been at least one youth product in the United squad for a staggering 4,260 consecutive matches, stretching back to 1937.

Liverpool and City, to a lesser extent, have earned rich praise for bringing through academy players including the likes of Conor Bradley, Jarell Quansah, Phil Foden and Rico Lewis.

But United can lay claim to being the most productive club of them all when it comes to grooming future stars.
