A DEVASTATED nurse has told how her only daughter and husband both died because of Tory NHS cuts.
Michelle Campbell-Cairns insisted the Government's lack of funding for the crippled service denied her more precious time with her loved ones.
Clutching a teddy bear which contains her daughter's ashes, she said: "First they robbed me of my only child. Now they have robbed me of my husband. The Tories killed them."
Husband Greg died at 63 on an A&E trolley two weeks ago from a thoracic aortic aneurysm. Daughter Nadejah passed away aged 23 in February 2014 after being refused cancer treatment three times.
The morning Greg suffered chest pains and difficulty breathing, Michelle dialled 999 but there were no ambulances available. So she paid £18 to take him to hospital in a taxi.
When they arrived the department was so overwhelmed a "critical crisis" warning was issued on loudspeaker.
NHS healthcare manager Greg died just over eight hours later before he could be treated.
CLAMMY
Michelle, of Billericay, Essex, said: "This has got to stop. It is easier for an animal to get treated in a veterinary hospital than in an NHS hospital because of this government.
"There is a crisis of such magnitude in the NHS because of the funding.
"What I saw that Monday was just appalling. It wouldn't have been acceptable in a third-world country.
