THIS was a glorious statement of intent from Arsenal.
And all done to the tune of their favourite chant for two-goal Kai Havertz, who piled on the misery for his old club.
Chelsea's second-half collapse was nothing short of embarrassing no wonder the away end was virtually empty well before the final whistle.
They had seen enough of yet another dismal display which will only pile the pressure on manager Mauricio Pochettino as Arsenal ran Chelsea ragged.
Havertz was brilliant so no wonder the Arsenal fans chant sarcastically: "£60million down the drain - Kai Havertz scores again." Chelsea fans delighted in telling Arsenal how they had got it wrong in signing a player who never quite fulfilled his potential at Stamford Bridge. But Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has got the best out of the Germany forward and has got him playing like a world-beater.
Even when Havertz missed a big chance in the first half, he did not let his head drop and responded with two neatly taken second-half goals.
It was a brilliant team performance from Arsenal, who really got themselves back into top gear to pile the pressure back onto both Manchester City and Liverpool.
