Boss Southgate says Three Lions WILL hit their groove and show true quality as rusty stars get more game time

FORM IS TEMPORARY, CLASS IS PERMANENT

GARETH SOUTHGATE admits England will have to play their way into form to win the Euros.

The Three Lions made a winning start to their campaign against Serbia but will surely have to play better to beat Denmark in their next group match in Frankfurt on Thursday.

They were the pre-tournament favourites because of the quality in the squad, in the shape of Jude Bellingham, Harry Kane (circle, top), Phil Foden, Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka (right).

But Southgate would be the first to admit England are a long way short of their best after a lessthan-ideal build-up to the Euros.

They managed just one win in their five games before the tournament and their preparation was hit by injuries and big players not entering the camp until late.

Bellingham was given extra time off after winning the Champions League with Real Madrid while Manchester United and Manchester City players were allowed to report later after the FA Cup final.
