Not many pop stars would take kindly to their fans falling asleep to their back catalogue, but for Olly Murs it's a blessing.

He and wife Amelia welcomed their own little Troublemaker, daughter Madison, eight weeks ago.

And with four UK number-one hits under his belt, singing her to sleep is usually Olly's job.

But he admits: "My go-to lullaby is Take That, because I'm on tour with them. They've got a new song called Windows, so I actually sing that to her.

"I did sing my song Heart on My Sleeve to her the other day... but yeah, like I said, Take That songs seems to be the ones that she likes.

"Obviously, people have told me it's good that she's falling asleep to music. I said: 'Well, let's hope she doesn't continue to fall asleep to my music when she gets older."

Asked if she was showing any signs of her dad's musical genes, the 40-year-old replies: "I want to say she's moving her legs and her arms [to music] a lot. But then when you speak to other parents, all the babies do that.

"So there was me thinking she was dancing to me and having fun but no, that's just part parcel of it, I suppose.

"But the one thing they did say at the hospital was that for someone so little, she's got a big voice. So I'll take that."

Just days after Madison was born at the end of April, Olly was back on stage supporting Take That their UK & Ireland tour.

But he says he and Amelia are getting through it with a dose of humour. He went on: "Juggling it has been difficult, but we've done really well.

"Last week, Madison actually stayed for the show, which was good.

"She was in the dressing room with Amelia's family, who have been so supportive.

"It is a bit of a minefield, your brain is like: 'What is going on?' But you're trying to keep a human alive.
