Labour pledge to keep rail ticket offices open

LABOUR has "absolutely no plans" to shut railway station ticket offices if they get into power, the Shadow Transport Secretary has declared.

Louise Haigh made the commitment yesterday as she unveiled plans to renationalise Britain's railways in the first five years of a Labour government.

At Trainline's HQ in Central London, Ms Haigh said she would be the country's "passenger-in-chief" as she branded our railways a "symbol of national decline".
