The former world No3 was pictured holding a rocket launcher and a machine gun as she used her platform to boost support for the war effort.
The Wimbledon quarter-finalist shared photos on social media of her wearing a camouflage jacket as volunteers taught her to use a rocket launcher.
She travelled to Kharkiv, which in parts is just 20 miles from the Russian border and where Ukrainian troops have all but ousted Moscow's forces.
