AN electrical appliance such as an air fryer is thrown away every 15 seconds on average instead of being recycled.
More than 2.15 million Britons are binning a small gadget every year, shock figures have revealed.
The UK has one of the highest rates for electrical waste in the world, said firm SUEZ, who manage waste for more than 50 local authorities.
It has warned that so many people throwing away these items is leading to a "mountain of e-waste" in the country.
