RONNIE O'SULLIVAN became the oldest-ever Masters champion with a record-extending eighth title last night.
The Rocket, aged 48 and 40 days, secured the record of oldest - and youngest - winner when he pocketed an eighth UK title last month.
And the world No.1, who is now the oldest winner of all three of the sport's majors, repeated the feat as he won seven of the last eight frames from 6-3 down to defeat nemesis Ali Carter 10-7.
O'Sullivan ended a seven-year drought at London's iconic Ally Pally as he won the 50th edition of the game's most illustrious invitational event.
The Rocket scored the £250,000 top prize for a staggering 23rd Triple Crown title - four more than nearest challenger Stephen Hendry. And O'Sullivan, who eclipsed Stuart Bingham who won the title aged 43 as the oldest champion, said: "I don't know how I've won this tournament, to be honest.
