Israel raid on hospital | IDF: Op did deliver help

ISRAELI troops yesterday entered Gaza's biggest hospital complex in what they described as a "targeted operation".

Medical staff at Al-Shifa hospital said they brought in no desperately needed supplies.

But the Israelis vehemently denied this and posted a video showing some aid being delivered.

Witnesses described chaotic scenes inside the hospital as soldiers ordered all men between the age of 18 and 40 into a courtyard.

Omar Zaqout, an emergency room employee, said: "Israeli forces took the detained men naked and blindfolded. [They] did not bring any aid or supplies, they only brought terror and death. More than 180 dead bodies are deteriorating and are still lying in the hospital's yard.

"The situation is very terrifying, gunshots are heard everywhere in the hospital's perimeters.

Israel's military said it carried out a "targeted operation". It has accused Hamas of running a command centre under the hospital, which Hamas denies.
