TWICKERS IN A TWIST

BEN EARL fears England are running out of time to get their fans back on side after another late collapse condemned them to defeat to Australia.

Steve Borthwick's side have now lost their last five games against top opposition and Red Rose followers were voting with their feet on Saturday night.

Spectators streamed out of Twickenham with the England squad looking like rabbits in the headlights after wing Max Jorgensen's score at the death picked their pockets again.

Take out the 52-17 demolition of Japan in Tokyo in June and Borthwick's crew have thrown away leads, late on, in their last five games, against France, then three times against the All Blacks and here against the Wallabies.
