We're achieving our goals in Kursk reveals Zelensky

A UKRAINIAN armoured vehicle crosses the border into the Kursk region of Russia as President Volodymyr Zelensky revealed that the surprise invasion was "achieving our goals".

He said yesterday that the aim was to create a "buffer zone" to prevent further Kremlin attacks.

His spoke as PM Keir Starmer said his commitment to Ukraine "remains absolutely resolute", despite Mr Zelensky's suggestion that British support had "slowed down recently".

It is the first time Mr Zelensky has clearly stated the aim of the incursion that began on August 6.
