IRISH leader Leo Varadkar has slammed Thursday's Dublin riots for bringing shame on the country as police brace for more violence.
On Thursday, around 500 people fought running battles with riot police, looted shops and torched a bus, tram and police cars.
Violence was sparked by a knife attack in which three children and a woman in her 30s were injured.
The knifeman, in his fifties, was arrested after bystanders stepped in.
Taoiseach Leo Varadkar said of the riots: "Those involved brought shame on Dublin, brought shame on Ireland and brought shame on their families and themselves."
