Diamonds ace keeps icy focus

ADAM FRIZZELL insists Airdrie won’t give their attacking style the cold shoulder for Staggies – after growing to “love” life at minus 120 degrees. 

The Diamonds won four out of four to top their Viaplay Cup group and tee up today’s last-16 clash with Premiership side Ross County.

It’s coincided with ex-Kilmarnock midfielder Frizzell being handed the armband, a role that won’t transform him into a shouter and a bawler around the place.

Instead he’s eyeing more subtle changes – such as turning to the deep chill treatment of a cryotherapy chamber to stay ice-cold as the heat turns up later in the season.
