CELTIC'S £50K IN HONOUR OF JINKY

CELTIC have donated £50,000 to Doddie Weir's motor neurone disease foundation in honour of Jimmy "Jinky" Johnstone.

The star winger died in 2006, aged 61, after being diagnosed with MND.

Celtic have donated to Doddie's charity in the name of both the rugby legend and one of their club's greatest ever players.

The Celtic FC Foundation had previously announced plans to host a charity match at Parkhead.

Proceeds were to be split between the Celtic charity and the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation but the game was shelved due to the pandemic in March 2020.
