THE father of Elle Edwards punched the air in court as a jury delivered its guilty verdict on the man who murdered his daughter, later declaring: "I hope he rots in hell."
Tim Edwards broke down in tears, before leaving the court where Connor Chapman, 23, had been convicted of murdering 26-year-old Elle.
The beautician was shot dead when Chapman fired a submachine gun at people as they chatted outside a pub in Wirral, Merseyside, on Christmas Eve.
He was also convicted of the attempted murders of his targets, Kieran Salkeld and Jake Duffy, and wounding three others in the shooting.
His accomplice Thomas Waring, 20, was found guilty of assisting an offender and possession of a prohibited weapon. Both men will be sentenced today.
