SHAMED Boris Johnson has been referred to police again over fresh claims that he invited chums to his country house during lockdown.

The Partygate ex-prime minister had already been fined for breaking antivirus rules his own Government set.

But now claims that he had friends over to Chequers, when PM, during lockdown, have been referred to police by the Cabinet Office.

The latest revelations mean Johnson’s fading dream of a Churchillian-style No10 return today looks shattered.

Several visits to the Buckinghamshire retreat were highlighted during preparations for a public inquiry into the pandemic. Information has been sent to the Met and Thames Valley Police.

Both forces said they had received information about potential breaches of the Health Protection Regulations between June 2020 and May 2021.
