A COUNCIL boss charged for hurling abuse at volunteers at a homeless soup kitchen has been given a "slap on the wrist".
Lisa Ross, a Glasgow City Council service manager, was arrested after a charity boss accused her of shouting and swearing at his team.
The Crown confirmed Ross, 52, a complex needs manager with the Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP), was offered an alternative to prosecution after accepting responsibility for the crimesparing her a conviction.
Colin McInnes, founder of Homeless Project Scotland, branded the decision "corruption of the highest order".
He said: "It concerns me a lady in that job who has committed that crime towards a homeless charity operating for the most vulnerable has been given this. I find it sinister. I've seen people taken to court and hammered for less.
