JON MCCRACKEN knows Angus Gunn came under-fire against Germany but he reckons the rest of his Euro 2024 exploits proved he should be Scotland's long-term No.1.
McCracken was at Norwich alongside Gunn before he made his own permanent move to Dundee earlier this month.
Gunn was criticised for his part in the dismal 5-1 defeat to Germany in the Euro opener but his former team-mate feels he was outstanding in the draw with Switzerland and in the heartbreaking 1-0 exit defeat to Hungary.
"It is the life of the goalkeeper," McCracken said. "I had sympathy. "It is that position where you make 10 world-class saves and then you concede one bad goal and that is what everybody talks about.
