FRANCO SMITH has warned his Glasgow players not to get involved in individual battles verbal or physical - when they meet Munster in today's URC semi-final.
The rivalry between the two is one of the fiercest in the league and there is often a lot of niggle between the players.
But Smith insists his men will need to be totally focused on playing their own game against the defending champions.
The Warriors boss said: "We're going to be distracted from the outcome if we're focused on the niggling and the off-the-ball stuff which we can't control.
"The only way that we can win this is by outplaying Munster on both sides of the ball. Individual scuffles and individual rivalries are not going to do anybody any good."
Glasgow won 38-26 in Limerick in the regular season last year.
But Munster won the clash that counted when they came to Scotstoun in the quarterfinals and beat Glasgow 14-5.
