AT least 126 people have been killed and another 188 injured in a major earthquake that struck near Mount Everest.
Videos showed destroyed houses and collapsed buildings around the epicentre of the quake in Tibet, as rescue workers searched for survivors in temperatures that plummeted as low as -17C.
More than 1000 homes were damaged in the quake, which had a magnitude of 7.1 and a depth of six miles, according to data from the US Geological Survey.
