A NATIONALIST MP has slammed ITV bosses for "mediawashing hard-right rabblerouser" Nigel Farage.
Owen Thompson has urged Ofcom to probe why the former Ukip leader was allowed on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here.
The Midlothian MP said Farage's appearance was to boost his reputation after a history of public remarks that fuelled hatred, fear and division within British society.
Thompson said: "It's hard to express my deep concern and utter disappointment regarding the decision to feature Nigel Farage on the popular show I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.
"His presence on the programme normalises and trivialises his history of offensive and divisive statements and has no place in mainstream entertainment.
"Farage, the former of the leader United Kingdom Independence Party, has repeatedly targeted marginalised groups including immigrants, Muslim people, and ethnic minorities.
