FALKIRK'S invincibles picked up where they left off as they swept aside Queen's Park to open their Championship campaign with a victory.
The Bairns stretched their unbeaten league run to 37 after a dominant display in which they should have been more comfortable winners.
Calvin Miller finally opened the scoring in the 33rd minute but the hosts were stunned when Dom Thomas levelled 17 seconds after half-time.
However, Falkirk responded instantly through Sean Mackie to ensure a richly-deserved winning start for John. McGlynn's men.
And the Bairns boss said: "We needed to get out the blocks fast and we did that.
"We took the game to them with a chance in the first minute. That got the fans behind us. First game back in the Championship we're delighted to get the win.
"I thought we deserved to be in front but you can never relax especially with someone like Thomas playing for them - and it was some goal.
"But we hit back straight away. Sean was in the right place at the right time.
