AN 86-year-old granny will cycle from Land's End to John O'Groats in a bid to reclaim her crown as the oldest woman to complete the challenge.
Mavis Paterson, known as Granny Mave, will set off on the 600-mile route on August 17. She won the Guinness World Record in 2019, aged 81, but was beaten three years later by a woman a year older.
She will raise funds for the British Heart Foundation in memory of her son Sandy along the way.
