ALL new buildings in Scotland will need to be fitted with "climate-friendly" heating systems under new rules.
Gas boilers will be banned for new builds from next April, Green minister for zero carbon buildings Patrick Harvie said, as he unveiled the new regulations.
They will also prevent the use of heating which produces "more than a negligible level of greenhouse gas emissions".
People and firms applying for building warrants will need to use zero emissions systems.
