HIT AND RUN E-SCOOTER MANIACS PUT MY SON IN HOSPITAL

A DAD has blasted reckless e-scooter riders who left his young son in hospital after a high-speed hit and run.

Kevin Traynor told the Record that his 11-year-old son Roddy was lucky to escape with cuts and bruises after being ploughed into on Dundee's Dryburgh Street.

The schoolboy had been walking on the pavement to a grassy area near his home to play football when he was knocked to the ground.

He was rushed to Ninewells Hospital for treatment and released a short time later after getting his cuts stitched.

Kevin, 44, said: "I want to raise awareness how dangerous these e-scooters are and people using them should take a bit more care.
