Clark vows to make return to Ashdod

CLARK ROBERTSON has told how he plans to return to Israel to resume his football career.

Ashdod's Scots star was sent home amid the severe escalation of the troubles in the Middle East earlier this month.

The 30-year-old was also caught up in them.

He had to run for cover as Tel Aviv airport came under rocket attack while he tried to make his own escape.

The Israeli Premier League has since been suspended and the country has been locked down as the Israelis respond to a terror attack by Hamas.

The defender is back home in Aberdeen but has admitted he plans to return to Ashdod when he is told it is safe to do so. Robertson said: "I have genuinely loved my time out at Ashdod.

"Once it all calms down and I'm told it is safe, then I'll be going back. We just don't know how long that will be "The club doesn't know what is going to happen. We are taking it day by day.
