I'm giving back what I took away on dreadful Euro 96 day

A TARTAN Army foot soldier believes illusionist Uri Geller intervened to help Scotland beat Norway in our dramatic 2-1 Euro win in Oslo.

With just five minutes left, Steve Clarke's men were trailing 1-0 and looked beaten.

It was then that Ian Kelly, known as Big Toastie, messaged his hero Geller for help.

Moments later, thanks to Lyndon Dykes and Kenny McLean goals, Scotland were ahead. Big Toastie, who takes a Scotland jersey with Uri Geller's name on it to matches, said: "During the game I had been holding the jersey up and decided to text and ask Uri for help in making Scotland win the match.

"The sky opened up it was just godlike when he sent his message and we scored. No one could believe it when I showed them the messages from Uri afterwards."

Toastie, from Renfrew, showed us his text which read: "Get us win.

Geller responded: "You must equalise. It's an away match but I am sending energy. Come on Scotland. Equalise." He then added: "!!!!!!" "Yesssssssss" following the first goal and another "Yesssssss" after the winner.
