KEELY HODGKINSON and Jazmin Sawyers followed Laura Muir's lead by becoming golden girls as the Brits finished the European Indoor Championships with a flourish in Istanbul.

Just 24 hours after the Scot bagged a historic fifth gold in the 1500 metres, Hodgkinson helped herself to a title repeat in the 800m.

Then Sawyers made it a hat-trick with a stunning seven-meter leap in the long jump to score her first major title.

But it took a British indoor record of 7.00m for the 28-year-old from Stoke to leap past her rivals with her penultimate effort.

Six years after Sawyers made it through to the latter stages of BBC singing competition The Voice, this was truly hitting the high notes.

She said: "I'm so proud of myself.
