A BANNED driver who killed his girlfriend in a horror crash when he fell asleep at the wheel has been jailed for five years and three months.
Edward Carty, 31, allowed the car he was driving to drift and veer off the A90 road near Errol, in Perth and Kinross, before it struck trees, killing Rebecca Tasker, 32.
Carty had driven for 14 hours on a trip from Arbroath to Lochinver, and back.
