Scot Morton's pain after GB shoot-out loss
FRASER WILSON
Lee: I feel stick to my stomach

DEVASTATED Lee Morton admitted he'd never felt pain like it as his Olympic dream ended in tears with a penalty shoot-out defeat to 10-man India.

The Scot had dragged GB level with his third goal of the men's hockey tournament in their quarter-final clash.

Despite dominating the remaining 34 minutes against 10 men, they could not find a way past inspired keeper Sreejesh Parattu Raveendran.

Conor Williamson and Phil Roper both missed in the shoot-out as India won 4-2.

Morton, 29, the first Scottish man to play at the Olympics since 2008, admits he has no idea if he'll be around for Los Angeles in four years' time.

The Paisley player, who almost quit the sport after losing his spot on the GB programme five years ago, has been one of the stars of the side with his late double earning a draw against the Dutch in the group stage.

But after seeing the dream die at the Yves-du-Manoir Stadium, tearful Morton said: "It's probably the toughest feeling I've ever felt.
