'LIFELINE' SCOOTER IS NICKED OFF OAP

A DISABLED OAP has been robbed of his independence after his mobility scooter was stolen.

Robert McCabe's transport was snatched from outside his home in Cumbernauld after he went back inside to get his wallet.

His son Graeme said the theft has left his 81-year-old dad anxious and fearing "someone has been watching him".

Graeme, 53, told the Record: "It's an absolute disgrace, I can't believe someone would do something like that to an old man.

"My dad left his scooter parked outside his garden gate. He nipped in to get his wallet and when he went out the scooter was away.
