THE wreckage of the Lockerbie bombing plane is still lying in a scrapyard, 36 years on.
Aerial photos show the mangled remains of Pan Am flight 103 in a corner of the Lincolnshire site.
The images were taken yesterday, on the day a new Sky drama about the 1988 terror attack, starring Colin Firth, started streaming.
The distinctive blue and white Pan Am livery is still visible, along with the window holes.
The aircraft was transferred to Windleys Salvage in Tattershall by eight lorries from an army base at Longtown near Carlisle after being carefully examined.
