SIR Chris Hoy has spoken of his brave battle to put his kids first in the wake of his terminal cancer diagnosis.

The cycling legend, 48, told how he shed tears while recording a poignant message for Callum, nine, and Chloe, six, to inspire them after he’s gone.

He revealed how he had found it difficult to write and then record an audiobook of a final message, relating to wife Sarra, 40.

The passage in his book, All That Matters, reads: “Look after your mum. She’s the best person I’ve ever met on this planet and we’re all so lucky to have her in our lives and she will give you hugs from me.
