TONY DOCHERTY has warned suitors it would take a big offer for Dundee to sell their skipper and "driving force" Luke McCowan.
The 26-year-old, who scored from the penalty spot in Sunday's 2-2 draw with Dundee United, has been the subject of failed bids from rivals Hibs as well as League One outfit Bolton.
McCowan is in the final year of his contract, having arrived in 2021, and the Dark Blues still hope they can persuade him to sign an extension.
Asked if it would take a big offer, boss Docherty said: "Aye, because he is such a valuable member of our squad.
"But that's not really a question for me. I just want to surround myself with as many good players and good people as I can and Luke is both of those.
"It's speculation but that's because he's a good player.
