THE MUM of a teenager who took his own life after a sextortion scam has vowed to help young people struggling with their mental health.
Murray Dowey, from Dunblane, died in December 2023 after he was targeted online by scammers.
The 16-year-old was contacted on Instagram by someone claiming to be a girl, who asked him to send an explicit photo before blackmailing him with it.
Now mum Ros, and Murray's family and friends, have vowed to leave a legacy for him and celebrate his life.
Murray was a passionate Stirling Albion fan and attended the club's games home and away.
