MISSING GIRL COPS CHARGE TRANS BUTCHER

POLICE have charged a transgender butcher in connection with the mystery disappearance of an 11-year-old girl who vanished for over 27 hours in the Borders.

Andrew Miller, who identifies as a woman named Amy George, remains in custody after being arrested by investigators on Tuesday afternoon.

The 53-year-old's home in Gattonside was sealed off with a specialist forensic team seen scouring the property and two cars parked on the driveway of the plush detached house.

A family butcher shop in the nearby town of Melrose, which was run by Miller until late last year, has also been boarded up amid the probe, local reports claim.
