JACK HAMILTON joked pre-match trips to the barbers are a must after netting a decisive penalty in Saturday's win over Ayr.
It was the Raith striker's first goal since January, taking his tally to 11 - and the talisman admits he let his hair grow before getting lucky with a cheeky trim on Friday.
As Airdrie roll into Stark's Park this evening, Hamilton is out to increase the pressure on Dundee United at the Championship summit as a Raith win will close the gap to a point.
Hamilton said: "I've been growing my hair and the last time I scored (3-2 defeat to Inverness) was before I started growing it.
"I got it cut on Friday and managed to score on Saturday.
"I hope it's a lucky charm so a big thanks to my barber! I'll need to go to the barbers every week now!
