COMIC favourites The Bash Street Kids are to undergo a 21st Century makeover with new characters to reflect today's inclusive society.
Preserved intact for almost 70 years, the naughty crew from The Beano will be joined by new pupils, such as Harsha, Mandi, Khadija, Mahira and Stevie Starr.
New member Mandira Sharma, known as Mandi, is a nervous girl whose personal struggles are used to highlight mental health problems, and the hijab-wearing Khadija Raad, a talented artist.
