David Bunton claimed his sister, Ann Dunlop, boasted that her daughter Heather was being lined up for big acting roles and was mingling with A-listers such as Leo Di Caprio and Beyonce.
But David told Glasgow Sheriff Court that his suspicions over Heather's career increased after the investigation was carried out.
The 51-year-old became more sceptical after a Chanel advert Heather said she was starring in did not appear.
